But overall I loved it a lot.Usenet is a decentralized network of discussion forums, which was created in 1979 as a way for users to share messages and files.

Like the famous Billy monologue-my favorite and here it was not that great. There were parts of the book that I was missing. Loved the chemistry between Sam and Riley. You also can't deny the influence of Fleetwood Mac here. I loved the music and It's on my Spotify at all times they are just soo good. Riley is just the heart and soul of this show every scene where she is in lights up. I'd say I liked it even more than a book for the most part. So when I finally got the see this show what happened? It did not disappoint.

Almost Famous is one of my all-time favorite films and the idea of the band in the '70s and intense energy between lead singers is something so easy to sell me-I am eating that no matter what. Show MoreĪround March this year, I read the book and though it was the middle of the road for me I was so excited about the show. It was him strumming a basic chord.Īnd there is plenty of 2023 political social justice lessons shoved in that are not necessarily to the story.īut the story isn't terrible and everybody looks good and since I only have 3 more episodes left I'll get through it. She says "I like that guitar riff" and there was no riff. When you see them writing songs it's even worse. The other really terrible thing is the music. There is a scene when she dives into the stage and the audience carried her around. When asked about "Are you in a relationship?" The answer "It's complicated " was not a phrase then. The MC said "make some noise" … but that phrase didn't start til 1987 when Arsenio Hall used it. I'm surprised they didn't talk about a carbon footprint. It would have been more relevant to put in a Vietnam side story. And they made it sound like the band was so accepting when in truth they were not accepting in the 1979's. They jam in a story about a lesbian couple "not that there is anything wrong with lesbians" but that wasn't a 70's thing. No says "can you dig it?" They don't ever reference Watergate and barely mention the Vietnam war. They don't talk like people from the 1970's. It's like this was written by a 20 year old who never set foot or even investigated the 1970's I'm glad it's supposed to be a one season and done series. I'm 8 episodes in and so far it's pretty boring but not terrible.
